Now for the investment 'live the dream' property.....

Here are the details:

1. Mayfield Cottage:  (currently the owners accommodation) is a stone built 3 bedroomed cottage with oil fired central heating and double glazing throughout (apart from the kitchen).

The entrance hall (left) leads into the kitchen and then on into the spacious sitting room complete with feature brick fireplace and multi fuel stove.

The first floor is reached from the sitting room and has a large landing area plus two double bedrooms (one currently serving as office and workroom).

2. Wren Cottage: converted from farm outbuildings every attention has been paid to detail and Wren and its partner cottage (Wagtail) have been tastefully constructed and developed with total high level wall and ceiling insulation.

Up the feature staircase you have one large single bedroom and one very large double bedroom, both with windows and velux roof lights.
Externally, Wagtail has a small courtyard patio area.

* Currently, Wren and Wagtail are let out on a 6 month renewable lease basis (grossing £12,900 pa).

A big return for a small investment

Let as holiday cottages you could earn much, much more and we have based our conservative figures on 60% occupancy, that is, for less than 32 weeks each year.

Yet the holiday letting business is a year round market for many and, if you built up to a 52 week occupancy, you could expect a return of c. £52,000 for just two cottages (based on an average charge of £500 per week).

Where to eat in Haverfordwest

Moving into a new area means exploring all the pubs, cafes and eating places.

Pembrokeshire in general has a wealth good of eating out venues but, Haverfordwest excels with two in particular.

Casa Maria, if you like high quality Spanish food at more than reasonable prices, is the place to be at lunchtimes, and there's a fine deli on the ground floor.

The Georges is a pub cum restaurant cum fashion and gift shop - an unusual combination but it works brilliantly.

Great steaks and a host of other dishes but, be sure to book.

Mayfield Cottages - a quiet lane leading to woods and estuary

Lower Freystrop meets Little Milford, just yards from the Mayfield Cottage complex.

A peaceful country lane leads you down to Little Milford Woods and the Cleddau Estuary within ten minutes of leaving home.

Llangwm near Burton
The Cleddau Estuary - wild and beautiful!

Little Milford
To the woods! Little Milford Woods, ideal for walking the dog or riding the horse!

The estuary is, arguably, one of Britain's greatest beauty spots. Canada geese flock there along with curlews, shelduck and oystercatchers and you may walk for miles along its banks, wild Wales at its best.

And, if you walk in the opposite direction, within 400 metres you will come to the most perfect 9 hole golf course and driving range....

Just perfect!

and even more perfect (for some)

What a great area - but there's more; if you like to sail then Neyland Marina is about four miles distant and if you want to fish, then you can choose from game fishing for trout, salmon and sewin to sea fishing for....mackerel at one end and bass and cod at the other. And, if coarse fishing is your thing, there are plenty of good fishing spots to choose from such as Wolfdale Pits (about ten miles away) with a £5 per day fee paid through an honesty box!

Can it get any better than this?

Eating out? No problem. The Georges in Haverfordwest is one of the original gastro pubs, while in nearby Little Haven you have the elegant meals served at The Swan and the excellent meals served at The St Bride's and The Castle.

Want to go to the theatre?

The Torch at Milford Haven is less than ten miles away (and you can enjoy a pre theatre supper there as well) http://www.torchtheatre.co.uk

As for education...take your choice.

Two Secondary Schools and countless primaries within two miles and one of Wales's greatest Colleges http://www.pembrokeshire.ac.uk just one mile away. You can even undertake degree level study there.
